CARE OF LEATHER BOOTS

BRUSHING, RINSING & CLEANING

Remove boot laces and insoles. Clean the outside of your boots with lukewarm water, using a shoe brush to remove dirt, old wax and polish. Also rinse the soles and remove any stones stuck in the tread. Shake out sand and loose material from the boots. Brush out the inside properly. If your boots are very dirty on the inside, rinse them under the tap. Let the boots dry in a normal room temperature. A good idea is to stuff them with balls of newspaper to absorb moisture.

WAX

When the boots have dried it is time to apply leather wax. Rub in a small amount of wax (like one or two peas) with your fingers  or a rag. Don’t forget the tongue and seams. Wipe away any surplus wax, and put back insoles and laces.

CARE OF SUEDE OR NUBUCK BOOTS

Brush (preferably with a suede brush), rinse, and clean your boots in the same way as above. Before impregnated, the boots must be clean and dry. Impregnate your boots with an eco-friendly waterproofing spray and let them dry in a normal room temperature.
